Student Mobility

The Master’s Programme (120 ECTS) will provide students with a Joint Master’s degree signed by all University partners, except UNIBO. The first semester is common for all students. It is provided by University of Patras (Greece), where in-person courses (30 ECTS) are delivered at the Department of Chemical Engineering. During the second semester, students can choose to attend in-person courses at one of the two universities offering a specialization track (30 ECTS), according to the following two options: 

  1. the first specialization track is on “Planning and Policies for Renewable Energy”, offered by IUAV University of Venice (Italy) at the Department of Architecture and Arts; 
  2. the second specialization track is on “Renewable Energy Systems Engineering”, offered by University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (Croatia). 

During the third semester, students are asked to customize their study plan by attending online courses (30 ECTS), 2 compulsory and 3 elective according to their interest, by selecting from the list of courses offered by the other academic institutions participating in the Joint Master’s Programme: Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering (Italy), Algebra Bernays University, Department of Computing (Croatia), University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences (Serbia), International University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (Bosnia & Herzegovina), University of Tirana, Department of Industrial Chemistry (Albania).

The last semester (the fourth) is dedicated to the curricular internship (15 ECTS), during which students spend at least three months in a business, research institution, or public agency partner, and to the drafting of the final Master’s Thesis project (15 ECTS) in collaboration with an academic partner that can be chosen among the ones participating in the Joint Master’s Programme.
